I just discovered
Query Shark's blog. It's a great place to read other people's queries get ripped to shreds. Seriously, it is fun reading, though I have to wonder where she finds the time. All I ever hear is how agents don't have time to read all the queries they get. This chick puts some serious thought into these rejections. No way I would ever send her one of mine.

Thanks for the link. Could come seriously handy for knowing what not to do.
Although, there are so many things not to do, we could still think we know what we're doing and get it wrong. Fun reading though.
It's an interesting blog. After reading some of the posts, I'm getting the feeling she is posting ones that need a lot of work as examples of what not to do.
Ohhh.. be kind to the shark. In fact, be a little afraid. She is one of the best agents out there, and she really works the queries and MS's she receives. Her advise, and manner of delivery, is priceless.
The shark is well known in these waters. (:
Oh yes, she is very good. I agreed with her critiques and found them very useful. I just wonder if she does the opposite. Posts a very good query and talks about what is right with it. I would guess she does, but I don't have time to look through them all.
You don't have to look far. She has a side category -- Queries that got to YES.
Thanks. I noticed that shortly after my comment..lol. Duh!
Interesting site! I also like The Rejecter's blog - http://rejecter.blogspot.com/ - some GREAT, honest info there...
